It is with great sadness that the family of the late Lorraine Frances Sheppard announce her passing on April 1st, 2024 at the Corner Brook Palliative Care Unit, in her 71st year. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, her children: Glenn Sheppard (Manuela), Nicole Sheppard (Jerome), and Richard Sheppard (Christa); grandchildren: Dylan, Dustin (Taylor), River (Michael), Gage (Paige), Virginia, Skylar, Isaiah, Emily, and Ava; siblings: Christine (Brian), and Cliff; brothers and sisters-in-law: Ann (Fred), Lesley, Eric (Judy), Kay, and Ben (Wanda); as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.

Lorraine is predeceased by her husband: Israel John Sheppard; parents: Harry and Lucy Ploughman; parents-in-law: George and Dorcas Sheppard; sister: Jessie Olofsson; brothers-in-law: Gideon, George, Herbert, Walter, and Max; sisters-in-law: Mary, Margaret, and Inez.

There will be a visitation held on Thursday, April 4th, 2024 at St. James Anglican Church, Lark Harbour, from the hours of 7-9 PM, from where the funeral service will take place on Friday, April 5th, 2024 at 2 PM with Rev. Effie Organ officiating. Interment to follow at the church cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to the family to assist with funeral expenses.
