Today our hearts are broken as we all mourn the loss of our beloved sister, Lorraine Sheila House, at the Western Palliative Care Unit on Friday, August 11th, 2023 at the age of 69 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her siblings: Darren (furbaby: Zizi), Norma (David), and Dennis (Colleen); step-siblings: Denise (Gary), Linda (Tony), Lauri (Eugene), and Torena (Glynn); sister-in-law: Gwen House; uncles: Edward (Effie), and Alex (Lorraine); and her aunt Joan House; as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Lorraine is predeceased by her parents: Wilfred and Kathleen House; brother: Warrick House; precious baby sister House; grandparents: Luke and Rachel House, and William and Dulcie Park; her stepmother: Bernadine House; as well as her other aunts and uncles. Over the years Lorraine has received exceptional love and care from her family that she was always surrounded by. Lorraine was cared for by the Presentation Sisters, and staff at the Xavier House with a place of ministry and personal care. Then she later went to Mountainview House in Meadows, where she resided with the most patient and loving care. Cremation has taken place. There will be a visitation held on Monday, August 14th, 2023 at Country Haven Funeral Home from the hours of 2-4 PM. There will be a celebration of life for Lorraine on Tuesday, August 15th, 2023 at 2 PM in the Country Haven Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. George Critchell officiating. Interment to follow at the Holy Trinity Cemetery, in Meadows. As expressions of sympathy, no flowers by request, instead a donation can be made in Lorraine's memory to a charity of one's choice.
