Lorna Ann
Marie Hurley-Card Of Thanks
November 3, 1976 – November 8, 2024
The family of the late Lorna Ann Marie Hurley would like to thank everyone for their support and love shown during such a difficult time. To the family and friends who provided food, flowers, cards, messages, phone calls, and made donations to the SPCA; we thank you all. A special thank you to those who attended the celebration of life for Lorna, and to Uriel Boland, and Father Edward Terry, for arranging such a beautiful send off for our dear Lorna. Also, a thank you to Terry Boland, and Dolly Joyce, for the beautiful readings at the service. Thank you to the doctors, nurses, and staff of the WMRH-4th floor and the Western Long Term-Palliative Care Unit for your kindness and endless support. Last, but certainly not least, thank you to Country Haven Funeral Home for their guidance and compassion shown to us all.
-Greg, Doreen, Sherri, Terry, Andrew, and families.
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Lorna Ann Marie Hurley announce her passing on Friday November 8th, 2024 at Western Long Term Care Center (Palliative) at the age of 48 years. She leaves to mourn with heavy hearts and loving memories her devoted partner Andrew Porter, loving parents Greg and Doreen Hurley. Her only sister and best friend Sherri. Brother-in-law Terry Boland. June Hackett who was her cousin but whom she considered a sister. She will also be missed by a large circle of aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.
Lorna had the biggest heart and always ready to help anyone at any time. She was very strong willed; some would say even stubborn at times. She loved music and dancing but also enjoyed her quiet time cuddled up with a good book. Lorna was an animal lover and enjoyed her daily walks with her beloved Nixon.
She had a beautiful smile that would light up a room. She will remain forever in the hearts of everyone she touched along her journey, the numbers were many.
Cremation as taken place. There will be a visitation taking place at 1 PM on Tuesday, November 12th, 2024 at Country Haven Funeral Home from where the funeral service will take place in the Country Haven Chapel at 2 PM with Father Edward Terry officiating. Interment to follow at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted, or a donation can be made in Lorna's memory to your local S.P.C.A or one's choice.
