It is with heavy hearts that the family of the late Lisa Elizabeth Bridget Power announce her passing on Monday, October 5th, 2024 after battling illness for quite some time, at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital, at the age of only 50 years, with her dear friend Tammy Piercey by her side. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, her sons: Davin Power (Brittany), and Darryl Murley; her precious grandson: Max; her mother: Wilhemena Power; brother: Bob; and sister: Tammy Power; as well as a large circle of other relatives and many friends.

Lisa is predeceased by her father, whom she adored: Gerald Power.

Lisa had the biggest heart and the most beautiful smile. She was very private and reserved, but she was also very whitty, and so much fun. She was strong willed and stubborn, but those traits were what defined Lisa. They were apart of who she was, and her endless strength undoubtedly helped her deal with life's challenges.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Daphne for taking such good care of Lisa's fur babies, whom Lisa loved tremendously; and for continuing to love them as she did. Also, for showing your love and support to Lisa during this difficult time of her life. Another special thank you to all of the nurses, doctors, and social workers that were apart of Lisa's care team for your kindness, words of comfort, and excellent support provided throughout this journey with Lisa. We are deeply grateful for the wonderful care, excellent compassion and love that we received. The unwavering dedication and care in the past five months will never be forgotten.

At Lisa's request, cremation has taken place. There will be no formal visitation or funeral service at this time. There will be a private graveside service for family taking place at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, a donation can be made in Lisa's memory to your local SPCA.
