Lindbergh "Lindy" Stratton passed peacefully and unexpectedly away on July 7th 2025 at Foothills Hospital in Calgary, Alberta.  He was 85 years young. A resident of Corner Brook for all his life. Lindy married Marjorie Stratton on July 15th, 1963 and was about to celebrate 62 years of marriage.

Left with a lifetime of happy memories are his wife; Marjorie. Their children; Annette, Wendy (Carl), Craig (Lori), Vicki (Larry), and Michelle (Brad).  Their grandchildren; Tyler (Victoria), Kyle (Megan), Hayward (Dana), Emilie, Devin, Luna, Cassadie, Ryan, Makaela, Cole, Brett, Gavin, Kiera and Kaley. Their great-grandchildren; Elliott, Kasen, Carter, Dyllan, David, and Jaxon. His sister; Sadie Bugden, as well as extended family and friends.

Lindy loved many things; old westerns, watching sports, and playing cards with his best friends, Christine and Eric Rideout.  He also loved a good feed of seafood (which caused him gout); bologna, bacon and his favourite snack, Hawkins Cheezies. He had strong opinions which often led to lively discussions.  In his younger years, he loved salmon fishing, playing darts, softball, and camping with his family, whom Lindy always loved dearly. A special thank-you to the paramedics and staff of the Foothills Hospital in Calgary.

Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will take place at Country Haven Funeral Home 167 Country Road, Corner Brook, NL. on August 13th 2025 from the hours of 7-9PM . In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Team Broken Earth or the Ronald MacDonald House, causes that Lindy deeply believed in.
