July 11, 1934 – June 1, 2021
The entire family of the late Lilian Caravan are extremely saddened to announce her passing in the Palliative Care Unit of Western Long-Term Care on June 1, 2021, at the age of 86. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her children; Diane Poole (Greg), Brian (Mellesia), Randy (Heather), Debbie Brewer (Gord), Beverley Penney, Wayne, Maxine Park (Mike), her grandchildren; Michelle Parsons (Brian), Charlene Parsons (Steve), Bradley Brewer (Juanita), Terri-Lynn Seftel (Brad), Stephen Caravan (Vanessa), Magan Wayson (Maxwell), Brittany Caravan (Josh), Tyler Caravan, Stephanie Caravan, great-grandchildren; Brendan Webb, Nathan and Chase Caravan, Olivia Hatcher, James Wayson, Paige Joyce Wayson, Lilly Joyce Wayson, Logan and Jake Brewer, Kayden Vallis, Nate Seftel and Brother-in-law Harold Pennell as well a circle of family, extended family and friends and her caregiver Jeanette Blanchard who took such good care of her. She is predeceased by her daughter Helen Caravan, granddaughter Jenna Park, mother and father Beatrice and Stanley Stone, sisters Maud Bennett and Naomi Pennell, brothers Lew and Bert Ryles and Son-in-law Ronnie Penney. The family would like to express heartfelt thanks to the Palliative Care Team of Doctors and Nurses for taking such good care of her every step of the way, we cannot express how much we appreciate everything that had been done for the whole family.
Throughout her life she was actively involved with the Liberals, the Native Women's Society, acquired her honors diploma in Business Administration, she taught many people how to sew, she catered to many events and loved every minute of it. Her greatest achievement was raising her eight children and having a huge presence in her grandchildren and great grandchildren's lives.
Cremation has taken place, there will be a private family gathering and service to take place at Country Haven Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, June 4 th , 2021 with Major Frank Johnson officiating with interment to take place at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, no flowers by request. Donations can be made to Western Memorial Regional Hospital Dialysis Unit.
