It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of our brother Leo (Junior) at the age of 72 after a short illness.  He will be lovingly remembered by his brothers Tom (Marg) Sarnia ON., Paul (Sharon) Corner Brook, NL., Bill (Judy) Prince George, BC. Ted (Debbie) Gander.

Sisters; Marie Andrews (John – deceased) Bracebridge ON. Dorothy [Dot](Dave) Brake, Corner Brook, NL. Fran Joyce (Greg-deceased) Prince George, BC. Leona (Gary) Wiseman, Corner Brook NL as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and good friends

He is predeceased by his parents; Leo and Annie Companion. His brothers; John and Brian. Sisters; Betty, Alice (Bax) Howell, Theresa (Bob) Murphy and Mary (Randy) Payne.

Leo returned home to his beloved Corner Brook and purchased a home to enjoy his retirement with family and friends after spending 35 years as a stationary engineer with Prince George Pulp and Paper Mill BC.

The family extends their sincere thanks to the nurses, doctors and staff at the ICU and 5th floor of the WMRH for their care and compassion and support of our brother Leo.

At Leo's request cremation has taken place. There will be a visitation on Sunday April 12th 2026 from the hours of 2-4/7-9PM at Country Haven Funeral Home. The funeral service will take place on Monday April 13th 2026 at 10AM with Father Edward Terry officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery.
