Surrounded by her loving family Leah Karen Bennett passed away after a courageous battle with cancer.  Leah was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend who will live in our hearts forever. She leaves to mourn the love of her life Paul, son Jamie, daughter Erica [ Blaize ] and grandaughter Keira. Her family Pearl [Don ], Suzanne, Arch [ Mirielle ] , Reg [ Dorothy ], Barb, Nancy [ Vic ] , Lorraine [ Lloyd ], and Marilyn [ Derek ] . Her special niece Tami who was a very big part of their lives also left to mourn are Paul's family, Cathy [Jim ], Bob [Sandra ], Dave [ Joanne ] and many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. Leah was predeceased by her parents: Elizabeth and William Pafford, brothers Don and Kevin and sister in law Susan, Paul's parents Bern and Ella Bennett, brothers in law Harold and Frank, niece Sandra and nephew Bradley. During their journey, Leah and Paul had amazing support from family and friends.  Words cannot express the gratitude to doctors and the nurses of the Palliative Care Unit in Corner Brook and to especially Doctor Whitten, doctors and nurses at the Health Science Center in  St. John's especially Dr. Pochini. Nurses on the third floor of WMRH who cared for Leah daily, a special thank you to you all, you made Leah and Paul's journey much easier. A private family viewing will take place from Country Haven Funeral Home Chapel, 167 Country Road on Feb 10, 2021.  A funeral service will be held at a later date.  As expressions of sympathy, there are no flowers by request, in lieu of flowers donations in memory of Leah can be made to the family.  The family guestbook for signing condolences can be made by visiting www.country-haven.ca
