"The Heart of Our Family"

It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that the family of the late Lavinia Park (nee Barnes) announce her passing at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital on Friday, December 18, 2020, at the age of 93 years. She will be lovingly remembered by her son Ralph (Judy); her daughters: Marie, Evelyn (Robert), Marina (Lou); her daughter in law Marie, her son in law Eugene; her sister Myrtle; her grandchildren: Michael, Keith, Lori, Byron, Barry, Sandi, Bradley, Kaylyn, Jade, Chelsea; her great-grandchildren: Courtney, Blake, John, LaVinia, Sara, Luke, Jacob, Claire, Layla; and a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Lavinia was predeceased by her husband Gilbert Roy; her son Howard; her daughter Marion; her parents: Samuel & Annie Barnes; and her sisters: Jessie and Mary. The family would like to thank the staff of 4A at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital for their compassion and care of our mother for the past 2 months. A private family viewing will take place at the St. James Anglican Church in Lark Harbour on Sunday, December 20, 2020, with a funeral service to take place on Monday, December 21, 2020, with Rev. Effie Organ officiating. Interment to follow at the St. James Anglican Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted and/or memorial donations may be made to the St. James Anglican Church.
