It with profound sadness that the family of the late Kevin Hollahan announce his peaceful passing, surrounded by his loved ones, at the Western Long Term Care Palliative Unit in Corner Brook on December 9, 2024.

He leaves to mourn with loving memories, his beloved children Anne Solo (Tony), Kelly Hollahan (Kevin Gushue), and Bill Hollahan (Niki) and his cherished grandchildren of whom he was so proud: Alyssa Christopher (Bailey Coates), Colby Christopher, Sage Hollahan (Isaac Merrigan) and Malach Hollahan; his smiley granddog Jango and cuddly grandcat Tommy;  brother Edward Hollahan, sisters: Patricia Cosman and Mary Leslie (Calvin), in-laws Johnny Johnson, Linda Hollahan, Sylvia Hollahan and Frances and Alan Elson; a large circle of nieces and nephews who Uncle Kevin loved very much;  friends from the Bonne Bay Pond crowd, the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 13, the Canadian Association of Veterans in United Nations Peacekeeping (CAVUMP) Western NL Chapter; lifelong friend Brent Sweet and some other very special friends – you know who you are.

He was predeceased by his best friend and adoring wife of 52 years, Annie; his precious first grandchild Cameron Christopher, his parents Samuel and Norah Hollahan sr; brothers: Jack, William, Samuel and Thomas Hollahan; sisters Marjorie Prosper, Cecilia Dugas, Sarah Wilton-Companion and Audrey Johnson.

The family would like to send a sincere thank you to the nurses and doctors of the Western Long Term Palliative Care Unit, as well thank Dr. Wadhwa for being a true family physician.

Our days will never be the same without his smile, stories and jokes. The memories made will stay with us and be cherished through the years ahead.  And because there is so much of him in his children and grandchildren, we will continue to feel and share his love and laughter as his legacy in the days to come.

There will be a visitation for family and friends at Country Haven Funeral Home on Thursday, December 12th, 2024, at 1:00 PM, followed by a memorial service at 2:00 PM in the Country Haven Chapel with Bishop Bart van Roijen officiating. Interment will follow at Mount Patricia cemetery.
