Obituary

Kevin Raymond Ezekiel died in peace and comfort, surrounded by his family on January 4, 2022, at the age of 73. He leaves behind his wife of 54 years, Bernetta (nee: Hutchings) and beloved children, Kelly, Suzanne, Sean, daughter-in-law, Jennifer and his cherished grandchildren - Danielle, Kayleigh, Samantha, Nicholas, Luke and Cohen. He is also survived by his sisters Mary and Carol and brother-in-law, Allen, as well as numerous brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and friends. He was predeceased by his parents James and Mary (nee: Simon); brothers Sean and Raymond; sisters Patricia, Barbara and Virginia; father and mother-in-law, Stanley and Mildred (nee: Ruth) Hutchings and his special dog, Macy.

A native of Corner Brook, Kevin was proud to call Newfoundland home and thoroughly enjoyed spending time in nature. He was passionate about outdoor activities including moose hunting, fishing and snowshoeing. A big-hearted man, Kevin was always known to be generous and helping and would give the shirt of his back. Above all, he adored his family and was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother. He worked as a millwright for over 35 years at the North Star Cement Plant and later at the Corner Brook Pulp and Paper, retiring in 2015.

Kevin will be dearly missed and always fondly remembered. His memory will live on through the many special and affectionate moments he shared with his loved ones, always with a warm smile and a witty comment to share. A memorial to celebrate Kevin's life will be held at a later date when it is safe to gather. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Alzheimer's Society of Newfoundland and Labrador.
