Obituary

Justine Lillian Michelle Piercey, daughter of Gena Piercey and Bernard "Junior" Kelly, was born December 7th, 1991 in Corner Brook at Western Memorial Regional Hospital, on December 1st, 2025, she tragically lost her battle after a long struggle with mental illness at the age of only 33 years. She leaves to mourn with many precious and loving memories, her two boys: Johnson and Reid; mother: Gena Piercey; father: Bernard Kelly; sister: Haley Piercey; grandparents: Jerry and Carol Piercey; as well as many aunts, uncles, other relatives, and many, many friends.

Justine was predeceased by her grandparents: Bernard and Helen Kelly; and her great-grandmother: Lillian Loder.

Growing up, she spent a lot of time with Gram and Pop at Sheffield Lake, or visiting Nan and Pop Kelly in Marystown. In 1999, she became a big "Sissy" to Haley Piercey, sharing countless laughs, hugs and beautiful memories. She was very active, playing on the soccer and volleyball teams at Templeton Academy. She was well known for her artistic talent, constantly drawing or painting. She proudly designed and hand painted the mural displayed for her graduating class of 2009.

In her twenties, Justine was a social butterfly moving her life to places like St. John's, NL and later, Fort Mac, Alberta. She always enjoyed hikes with pets, Tonka or "her first baby" Frankie, pool league, shooting darts, and playing cards. But Justine was always most herself at her happy place — the cabin. She loved anything outdoors; campfires, moose hunting, fishing, berry picking, swimming, and collecting beach glass, sea shells or anything else she could use to make some crafts.
In 2019, Justine started adding company to her cabin visits. She became a loving mother to two beautiful boys: Johnson, 6, and Reid, 4. Constantly surrounding them with her warmth, fun and kindness. She passed down her most genuine qualities while creating special memories that embody her deep passion and love of them, her family, and nature.

There will be a visitation taking place on Saturday, December 6, 2025 at Country Haven Funeral Home from the hours of 1-3 PM and 5-7 PM, from where the funeral service will take place at 2 PM on Sunday, December 7, 2025 in the Country Haven Chapel with Rev.
