It is with great sadness that the family of the late Joseph "Wayne" Noseworthy announce his peaceful passing on Wednesday, December 18th, 2024, in the comfort of the Western Long-term Care, Corner Brook, NL at the age of 69 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, his brothers: Albert, Randy (Mary), and Max Noseworthy (Linda); sisters: Nada (Steve), Sophie (Joe), and Linda (Marcus); as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.
Wayne is predeceased by his parents: Albert and Lucy Noseworthy; brothers: Stephen, and Edwin; and his sisters: Betty, Ellen, and Louise.
Wayne was born on April 21st, 1955. He was a charismatic man - funny, and loving. He enjoyed so many things in his life especially movies, music, and family. Wayne was well known in the community for delivering the latest news during his 30-year career with the Western Star. He will be greatly missed for his sense of humour and deep compassion.
Following his wishes, cremation has taken place. There will be a visitation taking place at 1 PM on Monday, December 23rd, 2024 in the Country Haven Chapel from where the funeral service will take place at 2 PM with Rev. Jocelyn Cook officiating. Interment to take place at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, a donation can be made in Wayne's memory to the Canadian Down Syndrome Society. (https://cdss.ca/).
