It is with great sadness that the family of the late Joseph Gill announce his passing on October 25 ^th , 2022 in Corner Brook, NL at the Western Long-Term Care in his 74 ^th year. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are his sons: Michael Gill (Keala), and Matthew Gill (Cherise); grandsons: Zachary Gill, Kaden Gill, and Chase Hulan; granddaughters: Rihanna Osmond, Sadie Gill, and Melody Gallant; his sisters: Isabel Stagg (Percy), and Pauline Brown (Gerard); brothers: Wilson Gill, Lloyd Gill (Betty), and Edward Gill; sister-in-law: Pamela Chafe (Walter); brother-in-law: Brian Heath; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends. Joseph is predeceased by his wife, Frances Gill (2018); parents: Peter and Lydia Gill; parents-in-law: Charles and Edna Heath; and sister-in-law: Gloria Gill.

After the loss the of his wife, Joseph enjoyed spending time and having coffee with his close colleges at the Tim Horton's on Murphy Square where they loved to catch up and discuss current events.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to all the paramedics, doctors, nurses, and staff of Western Memorial Regional Hospital as well as the Palliative Care Unit for their special care during dad's time of need. Also, a thank you to his nephew, Terry Gill for being there during dad's last days. It was greatly appreciated, and will never be forgotten.

There will be a visitation held on Monday, October 31 ^st , 2022 at Country Haven Funeral Home at 1:00 PM, from where the funeral service will take place in Country Haven's chapel at 3:00 PM with Major Brian Wheeler officiating. Interment to take place at a later date. No flowers by request, instead, a donation can be made to the Palliative Care Unit for their cuddle bed fund.
