It is with great sadness and heavy hearts the families of the late John Thomas Sheppard (Jack) announce his peaceful passing at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook, NL. On Sunday, February 23rd, 2025 at the age of 81.

He leaves to mourn his nephews; Chad (Tina), Colin (Jennifer). Great nephews; Matthew, Mason, and Lucas. Great niece; Chelsea, sister-in-law Beulah, and a large circle of extended family and friends.

Jack was predeceased by his long-time partner; Jesse Butt. His parents; Zebedee and Edna Sheppard and his brother; Nelson Sheppard.

Jack was a very social man, and had a huge circle of friends.  His greatest love was for his family, friends and music. He was happiest when he could gather up a crowd for a night of music and friends.

A special thank-you is extended to his Lanes Retirement family in Irishtown and the staff on 5D at WMRH. We thank you for your exceptional care and kindness during his time with you.

There will be a visitation held at Country Haven Funeral Home on Thursday February 27th 2025 from the hours of 7pm-9pm. The funeral service will take place from the Country Haven Funeral Home Chapel on Friday February 28th 2025 at 2pm with Rev. Terry Loder officiating. An interment will take place in Trout River at a later date. No flowers by request, in lieu of flowers a donation in his memory can be made to a charity of one's choice.
