John Michael
Pike
April 5, 1958 – January 23, 2026
It is with great sadness that the family of the late John Michael Pike announce his passing after a short battle with cancer, at the Corner Brook Long Term Care Center on Friday, January 23, 2026 at the age of 67 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, his two loving daughters and sons-in-law: Colette Hillier (Stephen Baggs), and Charlene Hillier (Bill Francis); his four beautiful grandchildren that he thought the world of: Kaylie and Ella Hillier, and Lucas and Keira Francis; and his brothers and sisters: Christine, Paul (Marg), Shirley (John), Rosie (Paul), Ken (Lorna), Cathy (Rick), Denise (Tim), Loretta (Kevin), Larry (Darlene), Deanna (Ray), and Gene (Tracy); as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, extended relatives, and many friends.
John was predeceased by his parents: John and Veronica Pike; sister: Isabelle Carroll; brothers-in-law: Walter Barry and Phonse Noseworthy; and nephews: Brendan Pike, and Christopher Hussey.
Dad's legacy lives on in the lives he touched - But most of all, it lives on in his children and grandchildren, who carry forward his values of kindness, perseverance, and love.
Dad, thank you for being our first hero, our fiercest protector, and our friend. Your love and lessons will guide us always. Until we meet again, rest peacefully knowing how deeply you were loved and how profoundly you'll be missed.
There will be a visitation taking place on Thursday, January 29, 2026 at Country Haven Funeral Home from the hours of 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM, from where the funeral service will take place at 10:30 AM on Friday, January 30, 2026 in the Country Haven Chapel with Father Lee Lainey officiating. Interment to take place at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, a donation can be made in John's memory to your local food bank, or to the Salvation Army (https://salvationarmy.ca/).
