August 3, 1973 – December 24, 2023
It is with heavy hearts that the family of the late John Wilson Greening announce his passing on Sunday, December 24th, 2023 in Corner Brook, NL at the age of only 50 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, his wife of 32 years: Lisa Greening; daughter: Hailey Greening (Paul); parents: Eileen and Robert "Bob" Greening; parents-in-law: Dianne McKay (Joe Bennett), and Joan Gardiner; sister: Norma Francis; sister-in-law: Maureen McKay (Jody); brother: Robert Greening (Dawn), Keith Greening (Crystal); brothers-in-law: Jason McKay, Christopher Gardiner (Melissa), Danny Gardiner (Rebecca), Stephen Gardiner (Hillary), Justin Gardiner, and Mark Gardiner (Holly); aunts and uncles: Jean Colson, Geroge Edmonds, Tony Greening (Wanda), Jennie Greening, and Helen Martin; nieces and nephews: Bradley, Donald, Gloria, Julie, Devon, Tyson, Joshua, Isaiah, Evan, Caitlin, James, Conner, Mackenzie, Autumn, Gabriel, Skylor, Chelsea, Brittany, Tyrese, Cole, Brandon, George, Aria, Eoin, Kaylee, and Jay; as well as a very large circle of other family and extended cousins.
John is predeceased by his grandparents: Archibald & Carrie Francis, and Thomas and Edith Greening; brother: Kevin; father-in-law: Larry McKay; brother-in-law: Jordan McKay; aunts and uncles: Bob and Florence Vincent, Joyce Edmonds, Charles Francis, Nelson Greening, Ben Martin, and John Colson.
There will be a visitation held on Saturday, December 30th, 2023 at Country Haven Funeral Home from the hours of 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM, from where the funeral service will take place in the Country Haven Funeral Home Chapel on Sunday, December 31st, 2023 at 2:30 PM with Pastor Jamie Rowsell officiating. Cremation to follow. Interment to take place at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted, or a donation can be made in John's memory to a charity of one's choice.
