It is with great sadness that the family of the late John Luke Greene announce his passing at the Western Regional Hospital on December 20, 2025 at the age of 79 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, his wife: Lisa Greene; sons: Tim (Mel), and Darren (Nancy); step-son: Ryan (Paige); brothers and sisters: Garland, Brian (Karen), Lorne (Lucy), Cecelia, and Patsy (Gary); brothers and sisters-in-law: Pat Byrne, Keith (Paulette), Warren (Faye), Cynthia (Bruce), Tammy (Glen), Debbie (Jim), Jose (Peter), Linda (John), and Joanne; as well as a many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many, many friends. John also leaves behind his good buddies: Howard, Bernard, Charlie Brown, Glen, Trish & Eddy, Trudy & Greg, and Linda & Larry; as well as his little fur buddies: Rio and Sage.

John was predeceased by his parents: Chesley and Madeline Greene; brother: Jim (Marjorie); sister: Victoria Greene; brother-in-law: Jack McGibbon; and sister-in-law: Hilda Francis.

In following John's wishes, cremation will take place. There will be no formal visitation or funeral service at this time. A celebration of life will take place at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, a donation can be made in John's memory to a charity of one's choice.
