It is with profound sadness the family of the late John Frederick "Fred" Caufield announce his peaceful passing on June 10th 2025, at the Corner Brook Long Term Care Centre in Corner Brook, NL at the age of 86 years.

Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his wife of 44 years, Etta. His son; Paul (Peggy).  His daughter; Susan Chinn. Four Grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. Step-son; Darryl (Kim). Step-daughter; Pamela.  Six step-grandchildren and three step-great grandchildren. Brothers; Gerald (Ann Marie) and James (Janice).  Also, a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Fred is predeceased by his parents; James and Maude Caufield. His three brothers; Peter, Gregory, and Lawrence.  His six sisters; Delores, Anna, Dorothy, Genevieve, Pauline, and Barbara.

Fred was active in sports, he loved the Toronto Maple Leafs, as well as playing hockey in his growing up years and also playing Old Timers hockey. He also loved music, especially the Cape Breton Fiddlers. Most of all he loved to fly fish for trout, and was quite a master at it.

In keeping with Fred's wishes, cremation has taken place. There will be no formal visitation or funeral service at this time. Interment to take place at 1 PM on Tuesday, July 29, 2025 at the Lark Harbour Anglican Cemetery with Rev. Effie Organ officiating . As expressions of symapathy, in lieu of flowers, a donation can be made in John's memory to a charity of one's choice.
