It is with great sadness that the family of the late Joan Gosse announce her peaceful passing at the Surrey Memorial Hospital, BC, after a courageous battle with Parkinson's, at the age of 76 years. Joan was predeceased by her parents: Herbert and Jean; brother: David; and her niece: Nancy. She is survived by her siblings: Marie, Bruce, Linda, Margaret, and Keith; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many dear friends.

Born in Corner Brook, NL, Joan grew up in Massey Drive. After working a few years in Corner Brook, she moved to Halifax and then to Vancouver, BC, where she lived for over 50 years working in typesetting and administrative positions. Joan made many friends during the years and enjoyed travelling, hiking, skiing, biking and volunteered as a Big Sister. Joan had a wonderful sense of humour. She was Auntie, not only to family, but to her friends' children. Joan loved and appreciated her family and friends support through her illness and will be lovingly remembered.

In following Joan's wishes, cremation has taken place, and she will be brought back to her home, Corner Brook, NL in July. There will be a graveside service announced upon her return, where she will be laid to rest with her dear parents.
