It is with profound sadness the family of the late Joan Ellsworth announce her passing on Saturday December 7th 2024 at the Western Long Term Care Palliative Unit, at the age of 92 years.

Joan leaves to mourn, with many fond and loving memories her children; David (Marilyn), Karen (Paul), and Wanda. Grandchildren; Mark and Stephanie (Robert). Great-Grandchildren; Chelsea (Mike), Gregory, Ryan, Marina (Mitch), Kaiden, Jamie, Lucas and Jay. Great-Great Grandchildren; Isla, Rhett, Sammy, and Andrew. Close friends; Rose Sterling and Hazel Bellows. Friend and caregiver; Madonna Elford. As well as a large circle of many more family and many friends.

Joan is predeceased by her husband; Melvin and daughter Maureen. Parents: Roland and Alice(Heath) Morey. Her siblings; Selby (Mary), Winnifred (Harvey), Nelson (Irene), and Martha (Harry). Her special niece: Alma (Glyn) & many other nieces and nephews.

Joan loved going on adventures. She often talked about the many trips that she took over the years. She enjoyed going for a ride on SXS in the summertime or a skidoo ride in the winter. She loved to dance and was the jitterbug queen in her younger years. She often could be found at home reading, watching games shows and cooking and baking for family and friends.

Cremation has taken place. There will be no formal visitation or funeral service at this time. To be announced and take place at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, donations in Joans memory can be made to the Janeway Foundation.
