Obituary

The family of the late Jessie Fisher would like to sincerely express our gratitude and thanks to all who visited us both at the funeral home and our family residence, phone calls, sent messages, food, flowers, cards and donations in our mothers memory. Your kindness and compassion will always be remembered. To those who participated in our mothers funeral service Majors Brian and Valarie Wheeler, pianist and vocal Wendy Woodland, scripture readers Marianne Connolly and Don Carter, Salvation Army home league, honour guard Breast Friends and Pall Bearers. The staff of Country Haven for your kind and compassionate care. The Community Heath nurses and care giver Olivia Lewis for all your help in her final months. Although we cannot thank everyone individually please know your kindness and thoughtfulness will never be forgotten.

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Jessie Goldie Fisher (nee. White) announce her passing on February 5 th , 2023 surrounded by her family, in her 87 th year. Jessie was the last surviving child of Francis and Elizabeth White. She leaves to mourn with fond and precious memories, her children: Susan Pettigrew (Herb), ON, Brian Fisher (Isabel), NL, Lorraine Hynes (Bill), ON, Cindy Morgan, NL, and Sheila Fisher, ON; special grandson: Sean, ON; grandchildren: Trina, Brian, Philip, Melissa, Brian Jr., Marianne, Craig, Cory, Jessica, Krista, and Shane; great-grandchildren: Cory, Brandy, Brian, Bradley, Brittany, Samantha, Evan, Kaleb, Ryleigh, Finnley, Sydney, Dylan, Liam, Owen, Anthony, Alyssa, Alexandra, Hayden, and Alexander; great-great-grandchildren: Oliva, Lucy, and Moses; and her special care giver: Olivia Lewis. Also, leaving to mourn a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Jessie is predeceased by her husband, Tobias Fisher; daughter in law: Roberta Fisher; son: Hillary Fisher; son-in-law: Hughie Morgan; grandson: Ian Pettigrew; granddaughter: Kayla Morgan; and all of her brothers, sisters, and in-laws.

There will be a visitation held on Wednesday, February 8 th , 2023 at Country Haven Funeral Home from the hours of 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM. The funeral service will take place on Thursday, February 9 th , 2023 at 2 PM at the Salvation Army Temple, O'Connell Drive, Corner Brook, with Major Brian Wheeler officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted, or a donation can be made in Jessie's memory to a charity of one's choice.
