November 18, 1962 – April 14, 2024
It is with great sadness and broken hearts that the family of the late Jerome Michael Walsh announce his sudden passing on Sunday, April 14th, 2024 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital in his 61st year. He leaves to mourn with beautiful and loving memories, his sisters: Theresa Walsh (Wally) of Youbou, BC, and Elizabeth Tucker of Leamington, ON; brothers: George Walsh (Melinda) of Dawson Creek, BC, and Joe Walsh (Michelle) of Corner Brook, NL; brother-in-law: Jim Boland; nephews: Matthew, Jamie, Kyle, Joe, Jason, Johnny, Jimmy, and Jake; nieces: Nicole, Ash-lee, Tracy, Sarah, Jennifer, Sherry, Tammy, and all their families; his devoted care workers: Debbie and Ivan Kelly who played a major roll in caring for Jerome for the past 20 years with so much love and kindness, Ivan and Jerome were best friends. There were many wonderful and caring caregivers Jerome has had throughout his life; and a large circle of other relatives, and friends. As well as Jeromes special friend Sherri, they lived together with Debbie and Ivan for the past 17 years.
Jerome loved radios, anything shiny, and the great outdoors especially having a fire. A special thank you to the Doctors and Nurses of the intensive care unit at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital for their care and compassion.
Jerome is predeceased by his parents: Gladys and James Walsh; sisters: Margorie Boland, Sarah Walsh, and Gladys Walsh; brothers: Jim Walsh, and Jack Walsh; nephews: Stephen, and Shawn; niece: Natasha; and sister-in-law: Loretta Walsh.
Cremation has taken place. There will be a visitation held at Country Haven Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 17th, 2024 at 9:30 AM, from where the funeral service will take place at 10:30 AM in the Country Haven Chapel with Father Lee Lainey officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted, or a donation can be made in Jerome's memory to your local mental health services.
