It is with heartfelt sadness that the family of the late Jennifer Roxanne Smith (nee. Keats) announce her passing on Tuesday, August 15th, 2023, at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital at the age of 41 years, surrounded by many of those who love her.  Jennifer leaves to mourn her husband and love of her life: John Smith; her sons, who were her whole world: Seth Davis (Olivia) and Reilly Smith; her father: Glen Keats (Ruth), and her mother: Ida Diamond (Erna); her brother: Jason Keats; grandfather: Albert Diamond; father and mother-in-law: Trevor and Marilyn Smith; sister-in-law: Heather Smith (Eddie); brother in law: Trevor Smith (Adya); very special friends: Melissa Shannahan, Christine Russell, Marianne Connolly, and Crystal Griffin; as well as a large circle of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.

Jennifer is predeceased by her grandparents: Alice and Herman Keats, and Murial and Ira Pearce; and her childhood best friend: Nancy Gosse.

Jennifer was a beautiful person who loved life and lived it to the fullest. To know her was to love her.  She was one of the most selfless people you would ever meet.  Jennifer loved the outdoors and loved spending time with her family. From Kayaking and hiking, to snowmobiling and snowshoeing; she was always living life to the fullest. One of her favourite spots was the beach, the gym, and most recently, her new cabin which she loved to visit with her family. Jennifer loved to travel and enjoyed a few cruises with her husband, John, which she mentioned she was so happy she got to do. Jennifer was a Correctional Officer and is also mourned by her second family of CO'S who have supported the family so much during these difficult times. Jennifer was very good at her job and absolutely loved her work family. Jennifer was a quiet person who loved with her whole heart. If you were lucky enough to be in her circle of love, then you knew it. She has left a huge void in all those she touched and her memory will live within them forever. The family also wishes to send a special thanks to Doctor Griffin, Dr Hutchings, nurses on 4AB and ICU, especially Ashley who went above and beyond her scope of duties to make Jennifer as comfortable as possible in her final weeks.

At Jennifers request cremation has taken place.  There will be visitation on Tuesday, August 22nd, 2023 at Country Haven Funeral Home from the hours of 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM, from where the funeral service will take place on Wednesday, August 23rd, 2023 at 2 PM at All Saints Anglican Church with Rev. Tanya White officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted, or a donation can be made in Jennifer's memory to the Janeway.
