Obituary

After a long and courageous battle with critical illness, Jeffery Lee Crosbie passed peacefully on November 29, 2025, surrounded by the family who loved him dearly. Born on April 8, 1955, Jeff lived a life defined by kindness, humor, and the ability to make others feel valued and loved.

Jeff was a devoted father to his children Heidi, Sarah, Alyson, and David, who were truly the joy of his life. He welcomed with open arms his sons-in-law Ethan and Nick, and his daughter-in-law Danika. His heart grew immeasurably with the love he held for his grandchildren Robin, Leah, Seth, Macy, and Natalie - and for baby Oliver, whom he was dearly looking forward to meeting. Being a father and grandfather was one of his greatest blessings, and he carried immense pride in each of them.

Jeff also leaves his loving sister, Lin, and her husband, Tom, who mourn him deeply. He is remembered with love by his lifelong friend Shawn and Shawn's partner, Lori, who both shared an unwavering bond with him. Jeff is predeceased by his parents, Renfrew and Ruth Crosbie, and his brothers, Bob and Greg. He leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family, all of whom carry fond memories of his warmth and humor.

Outside of his family, one of Jeff's greatest prides was his garden. He had a true green thumb and would spend hours tending to his plants, creating a space filled with beauty, peace, and life. Gardening was one of his greatest passions, and his children will forever remember the countless afternoons spent helping him - laughing together among the flowers, enjoying the quiet moments, and taking many joyful rides on the ride-on lawn mower. These memories remain among their most cherished.

Known to many as one of the most kind and gentle souls they had ever met, Jeff never raised his voice and made sure everyone around him knew they were loved. He possessed a playful, spirited nature - forever the jokester - always ready to share a laugh or lift someone's spirits. Those who knew him well often described him, affectionately, as quite the "hard ticket," a testament to his memorable character and the joy he brought into every room.

His daughters would like to extended their sincerest gratitude to his care teams at both Lanes Retirement Living and Corner Brook Long Term Care. The level of care, compassion, and friendship that was provided to him is greatly appreciated and will be remembered for years to come. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for treating him with dignity, kindness, and making him feel as he was your family as well.

Even after moving into the Retirement home, Jeff's devotion to his children never wavered. He continued to pick up his daughters from school every day, taking them on drives filled with music, laughter, and singing. These moments - simple yet full of love - became treasured memories that deeply reflected the unwavering dedication he had for his children. His love for them was boundless, and the time they shared together showed just how profoundly he cherished being their father.

Jeff was deeply loved, and his absence leaves a profound void in the lives of his family and all who were fortunate enough to know him. His legacy of love, laughter, and compassion will continue to shine through the generations he touched.

In lieu of flowers, his children ask simply to sign his guest book with condolences and to please share memories for his family to cherish in the years to come.
