It is with great sadness that the family of the late Audrey Olive Jean Jewer (nee Howell) announce her peaceful passing on Thursday, November 26, 2020, to join her beloved husband, the late James Augustus Jewer in heaven. She was 86 years old. She leaves to mourn her three devoted children: Jim (Christina), Tim (Sandra), and Karen (Greg Peckford); her grandchildren: Melissa Roberts (Brad), Jimmy Jewer (Corina), Michael Lukeman (Walterine), Jennifer Jewer (Aaron White), Nicole Lewis (Jeffrey), and Emily; her seven precious great-grandchildren: Madison, Jake, Claire, Gregory, Gabriel, Abigail, and Nicholas; sisters: Dorothy Kennedy, Glenda Langer (John), Brothers: Max Howell (Doris), Roy Howell (Pauline) Ron Howell (Jean) and the late Woodrow (Eileen) Howell; her sister-in-law Alice Kelly (nee Jewer); and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Jean was predeceased by her father and mother: Claude and Irene Howell, and brother-in-law Allan Kelly. Jean was loved by all for brightening any room or cross-country ski trail with her laughter, energy and spunk! The family would like to acknowledge the many nurses and staff at Corner Brook Long Term Care and Mountain View House, Meadows, NL, for their kind and compassionate care in the past several years. A funeral service for family and friends will be held at St. Michaels and All Angels Church, Park Drive, on Saturday, November 28 th , 2020 with the Ven. Edward King officiating. Interment will follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy and in lieu of flowers, memorial donations in memory of Jean can be made to the Alzheimer's Society.
