Obituary

"My love will fly to you each night on angels wings "

My name is Jax.

Jax Donald Alexander Benoite.

I have a story….

I am a little baby boy, just 6 lbs 1.5 oz, here for a brief time and I made a significant impact.

My favourite number is 19. I love dinosaurs and dream catchers. If you smell Ginger Snaps, that's likely because I'm near. Godspeed is my song and if there's an American Dime, I dropped it for you.

I will forever be remembered.

My Mama, Emily, and my dada, Adrian, along with my best big brother Maverick are heartbroken because I had to leave so soon. They love  me beyond measure. And I love them too. I am their little angel now. They have been reassured that I am safe and warm, cuddled in the arms of my great grandmother, Lena, and that gives them some comfort.

It's really important to my family that you speak my name because my story is  one of strength and courage. A story  of profound love, of magical moments. A story of restoring faith, hope, and a belief in the goodness of people.

I am  loved so much by my Papa Dave Willis. My Glammy, Tracey Hunt, and my Nanny and Poppy, Paula and Don Benoite. I have an Uncle. We just call him Uncle. His name is Alex and he adores me and loves me too. There's a circle of love surrounding my family with great grandparents, great aunts and uncles, friends and the people who show up.

To the team of medical staff  that collaborated from across the province to do all they could, thank you. They told my mom that at that moment in time I was the most important boy.

Flowers would be lovingly accepted. The Western Memorial Regional Hospital Foundation is accepting donations for the enhancement of the pediatric play area at the new Corner Brook Acute Care Hospital, and a scholarship fund for the Western Regional School of Nursing has been dedicated to future  nurses with an interest in the clinical area of maternal newborn. A scholarship fund will be established for students of Burgeo Academy.

I am a Little Dreamer,

I am Jax.

🎶 Dragon tales and the "water is wide"

Pirates sail and lost boys fly

Fish bite moonbeams every night

And I love you

God bless mommy and matchbox cars

God bless dad and thanks for the stars

God hears "Amen, " wherever we are

And I love you

Godspeed, little man

Sweet dreams, little man

Oh, my love will fly to you each night on angels wings

Godspeed

Sweet dreams
