It is with great sadness that the family of James Joseph Wells announce his passing on Friday, October 27, 2023, in Corner Brook, NL at the age of 92 years. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are his children: Jocelyn Pawley (Jerry), Judy Mosher, Gary Wells (Jennifer), Debbie Wells-Moore (Frank), Madonna Mitchell and Jamie Wells; grandchildren: Roddy, Jeffrey, Cory, Adam, Kyle, Jason, Jordan, Lesley, Jena, Ashley and Stephanie; great grandchildren: Felicia, Tyson, Mason, Evan, Matthew and Oliver; brothers: Gorden (Maxine), Walter (Joy), Lawrence (Judy), as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, extended family, and numerous beloved friends.

Jim was predeceased by his parents: William and Edna Wells; brother: Gerald; sisters: Baby Sarah, Sadie, Violet, Madeline, Marie; and son-in-law: Hollis Jacobs.

Jim was a man who thrived in the outdoors. From his younger years of being a recognized sportsman – he evolved into a successful hunter and angler. Being in the woods, tending to his trapping lines, raising a variety of livestock and farming - was where he was happiest.

At Jim's request, cremation has taken place. There will be a visitation held at Country Haven Funeral Home on Monday, October 30th, 2023 from the hours of 2-4 PM and 7-9PM, from where the funeral service will take place at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, October 31st, 2023 in the Country Haven Chapel with Father Lee Lainey officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted, or a donation can be made in Jim's memory to a charity of one's choice.

The family wishes to extend a sincere thank you to the doctors, nurses and staff of Western Memorial Regional Hospital-3B and the employees of the Lohnes Complex.
