It is with great sadness that the family of the late James (Jimmy) Barry Ruth of Summerside, NL on Saturday September 2nd, 2023 at the age of 73 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his only son Chaney and his companion Tina Reid; his special companion, his dog: Molly; Nephew Bill Mitchell and Maurice Mitchell. Niece Laura Finnegan. Along with many other relatives and many friends. Jim was predeceased by his parents Chaney and Dorothy Ruth. Stepmother Sarah Ruth. His only daughter Amanda Ruth White. Brother Don Sheppard. Close cousin Jimmy Loder and mother of his children Brenda Ruth. Jim was well loved for his sense of humor and telling jokes. His passion for singing and playing his harmonicas. He will be greatly missed by many. Jim's son Chaney would like to give special thanks to Jim's homecare workers Lori Mishaud, Judy Murphy, Denise Park and Gwen Murphy for the dedicated and great care you have given him. Thank you to the Western Memorial Regional Hospital Doctors and nurses for their care. At Jim's request, cremation has taken place. Visitation will take place on Friday, September 8th 2023 from the hours 1:00 Pm at Country Haven Funeral Home from where the funeral from where the funeral service will take place at 2:00 pm at Country Haven Funeral Home Chapel with Rev Geroge Critchell officiating. Interment to follow at St. Pauls Anglican Cemetery Summerside. As expressions of sympathy, no flowers by request. Memorial donations can be made to a charity of ones choice.
