It is with great sadness the family of the late James "Jim" Reginald Penney announce his passing on January 22nd 2026 at the Palliative Care Unit of the Western Long Term Care Corner Brook, NL at the age of 75 years.  Jim leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his loving wife of 20 years, Kay.  His children; Todd Penney (Denise), Chad Penney (Janna), John Drover (Tina), Shane Drover (Julie). His grandchildren; Alexis, Jeremy, Hunter, and Gage. His sister; Isabelle Tulk (Bob). His nephews; Terry Wells (Elma) and Darren Wells (Sandy).  His Wednesday breakfast buddies (his cousins); Jerry Penney, Bruce Penney, Brian Penney, Sean Penney and Ken Gabriel. His Aunt; Sylvia Sweetapple. Jim is predeceased by his parents; Reginald and Dorothy Penney and his nephew; Adam Wells.

Jim enjoyed life in the great outdoors. He spent time moose hunting and fishing, these were his favourite activities.

There will be a visitation at Country Haven Funeral Home 167 Country Road Corner Brook, NL. on Wednesday January 28th 2026 from the hours of 2-4PM and 7-9PM. The funeral service will be held at the Country Haven Chapel on Thursday January 29th 2026 at 10:00AM with Father Edward Terry Officiating. Interment to take place at a later date. Flowers are graciously accepted or a donation can be made to a charity of one's choice in Jim's memory.
