It is with heavy hearts that the family of the late James Ralph Brake announce his passing at the Western Long Term Care Palliative Unit on Friday, May 21, 2021, at the age of 86 years.  Leaving to mourn with fond loving memories are his daughters:  Wanda Ollerhead (Maxwell), Cheryl Sparkes (Robert), and Lana Abbott (Tony).  His grandchildren:  Karen McNamara (Shawn), Tara Reid (Tyler), Peter Ollerhead (Jocelyn), Candice Ruth (Tim), Amanda Patey (Trevor);  Great-grandchildren:  Colin McNamara, Sara Ollerhead, Katrina McNamara, Ethan Reid, Jack Ollerhead, Kade Buckle, Chloe Barrett; Brother-In-Law: Robert Taylor (Patricia); Sister-In-Law: Jeanette Kennedy as well as a large circle of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. James was predeceased by his wife: Elizabeth (Betty) Brake, parents: Irene & Richard Kennedy, brother: Anthony Kennedy, Brothers and Sisters-In Law:  Max Taylor, David & Judy Taylor, Ena & Frank Bacho, Morley & Myra Taylor, Anita & John Butler, Edward & Dorothy Taylor.  At James' request, cremation has taken place.  A private viewing will be held from Country Haven Funeral Home  Chapel on Tuesday, May 25, 2021, from 2-4 pm.  The funeral service will take place from Sacred Heart Church, Curling St. on Wednesday, May 26th at 10:30 am. with Father Jim Robertson officiating.  Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery.  As expressions of sympathy, no flowers by request, in lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to Sacred Heart Church, Curling.  The family guestbook for signing condolences is available by visiting www.country-haven.ca
