Obituary

With deep sorrow and immense love, we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, Ida Alice Park, who fought a courageous battle and was surrounded by her family at home.

Ida and her devoted husband, Rex, shared 57 beautiful years together. She was a cherished mother to her children, Lewis (Tracey), Whitney (Joni), Trifina (Jeremy), and Dwight (Emily), and a proud and loving grandmother to Krystie-Lynn (Greg), Britany (Patrick), Hope (Patrick), Cameron (Emily), Rebecca (Reese), Connor, Brooke (Billy), Jake, Jordyn, Hunter, and Sage. Ida's love also extended to her great-grandchildren Isla, Stella, Rowan, and Baby P, who brought her so much joy.

Ida is survived by her sisters and brother — Nona (Ben), Madonna (Dean), Anita, Alex (Diane), Christine (Randy), and Lynn (Gilbert), as well as her dear nephew Dion (Lana) — all of whom held a special place in her heart.

She was also part of a large and caring extended family, including her brothers- and sisters-in-law: Bern (Marilyn), Edward (Hilda), Lorraine (Allan), Rowena (Bruce), Melvin (Daphne), Lloyd (Cavell), Kerry (Gail), Darryl (Wendy), and Quentin (Wendy).

Ida is predeceased by her beloved grandson Joshua (2004), her parents, Mommy - Maria Stella (Roy), Daddy- John Park (Jackie), Mom- Dulcie (William), her sister Brada (Woodrow), and her parents-in-law, John and Francis Park.

Ida was an incredibly kind and gentle soul who touched the hearts of everyone she met. Her warmth, generosity, and devotion to her family will forever live on in our hearts.

The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to the doctors, nurses, and caregivers who provided comfort and support throughout her short illness.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ida's memory to the Cox Cove Volunteer Fire Department.

A celebration of Ida's life will be announced at a later date as we come together to honor and remember this truly special woman.
