It is with great sadness that the family of the late Ida Maude Griffin (nee. Dicks) announce her passing on June 2nd, 2024 at the Western Long-Term Care-Birch View Unit, at the age of 91 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, her son: Brent Griffin; grandchildren: John (Jocelyn), Jessica, Ryan, Dylan, David (Marie), Jarrod (Andrea), and Lyle; great-grandchildren: Daniel, Darren, Hayley, Hannah, Jacob, Kerrington, and Ava; her sisters: Mona Guinchard, and Yvonne Fallow; and her Aunt Queen George; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, her neighbours in Curling East, and many other friends.

Ida is predeceased by her husband, Anthony Griffin; daughter: Dianne Griffin; son: Dave Griffin; brother Sherlock Dicks; and grandson: Darryl Croft.

A special thank you to the mothers of Ida's grandchildren, Helen Parsons and Maureen George, who were there for and cared for Ida providing her with much love and support during the final years of her journey.

Cremation has taken place. There will be no formal visitation or funeral service at this time. Interment to take place at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, a donation can be made in Ida's memory to your local SPCA.

The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to the nurses and staff of the Western Long Term-Birch View Unit, especially to Kim Fisher; who became more like a daughter to Ida.
