Hubert Weldon
Ralph
December 11, 1938 – April 4, 2025
It is with heavy hearts that we, the family, announce the passing of our dear, beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather, Great-Grandfather, Uncle, and friend, Hubert Weldon Ralph on Friday, April 4th, 2025 at the age of 86 years. He was surrounded by his family at the Palliative Care Unit Western Memorial Regional Hospital, Corner Brook NL, as he left for his heavenly home. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Eileen, son Darrell (Susane), daughter-in-law Melissa, sister Edna, grandchildren and great-grandchildren (who lovingly referred to him as Pop-Pop) and a large circle of extended family and close companions. He is predeceased by both parents, Evelyn & Hubert, his sons Gary, Weldon, and Wayne; brother Lance, sister Delilah.
Hubert resettled from Flat Island, Bonavista Bay to Glovertown, Newfoundland. He had a short teaching career on the island, then moved to the College in St. John's to further his education. This is where he met his life-long love, Eileen, whom he married one year later. They moved to Stephenville so he was able to work at the Air-Force Base until its closure brought them to Corner Brook. Here he began his work with Department of Health Community Services. He was faithful, active member of the Pentecostal Assemblies of Newfoundland. A true pillar in the Christian community.
Public visitation will take place at Westside Tabernacle on Elizabeth Street, Corner Brook on Sunday April 6th from the hours of 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The funeral service will take place on Monday April 7th at 2:30PM at Westside Tabernacle, Elizabeth Street, Corner Brook with Pastor Jeremy Simms officiating, assisted by Pastor Terry Grimes. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. No flowers by request, in lieu of flowers, charitable contributions can be made to the Ronald McDonald House Charities NL.
