It is with great sadness that the family of the late Horace Roland "Auddie" Baldwin announce his sudden passing on June 15, 2022 in his home town of Cox's Cove, NL. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are his wife of 56 years, Trudy; his daughters: Connie Bursey (Byron), and Lorna Clarke (Dustin); grandchildren: Candice (Tyler), Lindsay, Jack, and Ellie; great-grandchild: Ty; sisters: Nola Park (Freeman), Sharon Brake (Scott), Yvonne Park (Irvine); brother, Rodney (Wanda); extended family: Rhonda, Billy, Jacqueline, and Norma; brother-in-law: Roy Brown (Barbara); sisters-in-law: Kay Baldwin (Don), Mary Head, Laura Freak (Welby), Fern Snow (Alex), and Violet Churchill (Eric). Auddie is predeceased by his parents, Jim and Nina Baldwin; brother, Freddy; nephews: Jody, and Mark; special uncle, Roland; mother and father-in-law: Hilda and George Brown; in-law's: Lorne and Joy Brown, and George Head.

Auddie's love of the outdoors and the peace it brought were second to none. His favourite places were Crabbe's Brook and Florida, where he spent treasured time with his family and friends. He was a simple man who loved his family, the simple pleasures of life, a good leaf game, and a classic western movie. Auddie had a special way with children. His special relationship with his grandchildren will leave an everlasting legacy.

There will be a visitation held at St. Nicholas Anglican Church in Cox's Cove on Friday, June 17, 2022 from 7:00 – 9:00 PM, and on Saturday, June 18, 2022 from 2:00 – 4:00 PM and 7:00 – 9:00 PM. The funeral service will take place on Sunday, June 19, 2022 at the St. Nicholas Anglican Church at 2:00 PM with Rev. Terry Loder officiating. Flowers are graciously accepted, or in lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to St. Nicholas Anglican Church in Auddie's memory.
