Henry Leonard
Morgan
March 10, 1959 – January 3, 2026
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Henry Morgan, of McIver's, announces his passing on Saturday, January 3rd, 2026, at the age of 66. He passed peacefully, surrounded by his family at the Corner Brook Long Term Care Centre.
Left to mourn are His girls: Sheena (Ryan) & Courtney (Travis). His granddaughters: Abigail (Tyler) & Harper. His siblings: brothers: Lewis, Holly (Susan), Eddie (Pauline), Elvis (Irene), and Jeff (Joanne). sisters: Martha, Roma (Lorne) and sister-in-law Kathrine. He also leaves behind a large circle of family and friends.
He is predeceased by his parents, Noble & Alice, his brother Phil, and his sister-in-law, Inez.
Henry loved gathering with friends and family for a game of cards or to throw a few darts. But his real passion was the outdoors: fishing, hunting, and camping. He passed that love for the outdoors onto his girls. They often spent time together in Goose Arm, learning how to put a worm on a hook or finding a patch of berries. Those berries would eventually end up in a sweet treat—another one of Dad's favorites. Anyone who spent time with Dad often had a hunting or fishing experience to share, and it always resulted in a grand catch and a good laugh.
His daughters would like to extend their sincerest gratitude to his care teams at both the Mountain View House Meadows and the Corner Brook Long Term Care Centre, 3 North. The level of care, compassion, and friendship that was provided to him is greatly appreciated. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for treating him with dignity, kindness, and making him feel like he was your family as well.
There will be a public visitation at Country Haven Funeral Home, 167 Country Road, Corner Brook on Monday January 5, 2026 from the hours of 7-9PM. Cremation to follow, there will be no formal funeral service at this time. An interment to be announced at a later date.
Given Henry's love for the outdoors, a donation can be made in his memory to the Bay of Islands Search and Rescue. Flowers will also be graciously accepted.
