As a devoted and loving wife, mother, and nanny, the family of the late Hazel Frances Hann (Porter) announces her peaceful passing on January 31 ^st , 2023 in her 79 ^th year. Hazel fought a courageous fight against cancer and Parkinson's, and was surrounded by those whom she loved so dearly in an intimate gathering at the Western Long-Term Care. She will be forever loved and missed by her children who she was so proud of, her sons: Jimmy (Sue), and Stephen (Deanne); her daughter: Michele (Kevin); her pride and joy, her 5 grandchildren: David, Phoebe, Nathan, Dave, and Erica; 5 beautiful great-grandchildren: Abby, Gavin, Hannah, Makaila, and River; and her siblings: Nora, Stuart (Violet), and David (Nellie).

She is now in the loving arms of her mother and father: Beatrice and Frank; reunited with the love of her life, her husband James; in the company of her dear sister: Edith; and her nephew: Carl.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to her care giver, Tracey Loder, whom she absolutely adored. Also, a heart felt thank you to the staff of the Western Long Term Care Palliative Care Unit (guardian angels) for all of your care and compassion shown during our dear mother's time of need.

There will be a visitation held at Country Haven Funeral Home on Thursday, February 2 ^nd , 2023 from the hours of 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM, from where the funeral service will take place at 10 AM on Friday, February 3 ^rd , 2023 in the Country Haven Chapel with Rev. Jocelyn Cook officiating. Interment to take place at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, no flowers by request, instead a donation can be made in Hazel's memory to the Canadian Parkinson's Society ( https://www.parkinson.ca/ ).
