It is with great sadness that the family of the late Harvey Wesley Parsons announce his peaceful passing at his residence on Tuesday, December 14, 2021, at 94 years of age. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his children: Bertha (Sterling) Harris, Margaret(Wade) Pinkney, Louise(Larry) Sheppard, Henry(Penny)Parsons, Rosie(Chris)Parsons, Bonnie(Adam) Parsons, Daughter in law Ann Parsons,3 special granddaughters Victoria(Kemoy) with whom he resided, Brooke(George), Amanda(Harry), sister Daisy,13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; Sister-in-law, Sadie Butler. As well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Harvey was predeceased by wife Ivy, sons George and William(Bill), son in law David Pinkney, parents George and Lucy, stepfather Simeon White, in-laws George and Margaret, brother Noble Parsons (Valsie) sisters Ruby Barnes (Jim), Rosie Parsons(Don), Mary Brake(Val) and his brother and sisters-in-law of the Butler family. Harvey was well known in his community of Trout River as being the history book and storyteller. If anyone wanted to know anything about the towns of Trout River, Bonne Bay, Bay of Islands, the residents or even the families they would call on Harvey for information. Harvey was the eldest resident of his town Trout River. He will be missed.

Visitation will take place at Country Haven Funeral Home, Corner Brook, NL, 167 Country Rd, on Friday, December 17th, 2021 from the hours of 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM, from where a funeral service will take place at 3:00 PM, with Rev. Jocelyn Cook officiating. Cremation to follow; interment to take place at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, flowers will be graciously accepted or a memorial donation in Harvey's name to the Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation.
