It is with heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing of a loving dad, grandfather, great-grandfather and Great Great-Grandfather, at the Western Long Term-Palliative Care Unit on November 22nd, 2024 at the age of 98 years. With loving and precious memories, he leaves to mourn, his children: Gary (Pauline), Harold (Marie), Marilyn (Wilfred), Muriel (Clarence), Sean (Desiree) of Middle Sackville, NS, Gwen (Danny), Jerry (Taffy) of Abbotsford, BC, and Robbie (Kendra) of Winnipeg, MB; grandchildren: Terry Jr. (Danielle), Gregory (Connie), Lisa (Kent), Chad (Alicia), Steven (Krista), Cory (Ryan), Amanda (Steve), Michael, Melissa (Andrew), Nikki (Evan), Cyle, Dallas (Moe), Shane (Cheryl), Robin, Nathan and Dylan; 11 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law: Angie; and sister-in-law: Mary Pennell of Ontario; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.

Harold is predeceased by his wife of 58 years: Naomi; their son: Terry Sr.; grandson: Jason; brother: Gordon; and sisters: Miriam (Jerome), Dorothy (Kaleem), and Mariana (Jack).

Harold married the love of his life in 1948, and went on to join the Newfoundland Regiment. He was also a first-class gunner during the Korean War. Harold had a long, full, and happy life and dearly loved his family, and made many wonderful friends along the way. He will be lovingly missed by everyone. We have so many wonderful memories of him to help us through this difficult time; until we all meet again.

The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the doctors, nurses, and staff of the fifth floor, B unit, for their compassion and genuine care shown to our father during his brief stay at Western Memorial Regional Hospital.

There will be a visitation taking place on Tuesday, November 26th, 2024 at Country Haven Funeral Home from the hours of 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM, from where the funeral service will take place at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, November 27th, 2024 in the Country Haven Chapel with Father Lee Lainey officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, a donation can be made in Harold's memory to the Janeway Children's Hospital.
