It is with heartfelt sadness that the family of Gertrude Mae Reid announce her peaceful passing in Moncton, NB on Sunday December 22, 2013 at the age of 85 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories children: Jessie Noseworthy of Moncton, NB, Wilfred Reid (Janice) of London, ON, Francis Reid (Christina) of Stephenville, NL, Carol French (Ernie) of Fort MacMurry, AB, Linda Peckford (Wayne) of Kelowna, BC, Maxine Johnson (Brian) of Corner Brook, NL, Ken Reid (Lisa) of Pasadena, NL; sister Beatrice Brenton of Englee, NL; brother Clayton Lane of Englee, NL; grandchildren: Angela Noseworthy, Jason Noseworthy, Heather Reid, Robert Reid, Kristopher Reid, Kendra Reid, David French, Ernest French, Amanda Gendron, Tammy Stoffelsen, Jennifer Cameron, Richard Johnson, Scott Johnson, Brianna Johnson, Alyssia Reid, Scott Peckford, and Cory Peckford; great-grandchildren: Marcella, Raymond, Jonathan, Ethan, Tyler, Jaxon, Christian, Jessica, Abagail, Jacob, Nicole, Shawn, Kyle, Sean, Beth, Joshua, Jude, Angela, Jael, Jane, Carson, Alyianna, Jiah, Matthew, Hannah, Dylan, Alex, and Emily, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Dorman Reid (2009); mother Marcella (June 1987) and stepfather Sylvester Handcock; father Naaman Lane; brother Roland Lane (December 2011) and great-granddaughter Erin Cameron (February 2012). Friends may visit Country Haven Funeral Home, 167 Country Road on Friday, December 27, 2013 between the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will take place from Sonrise Ministries Church on Saturday, December 28th, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Cyril Rogers officiating. Interment will follow from Mt. Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted or memorial donations may be made to a charity of one's choice.
