There will be an interment taking place at 3 PM on Friday, May 31st, 2024 for Gerald and Vera at Mount Patricia Cemetery with Major Brian Wheeler officiating.

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Gerald Bronson Preston announce his passing on Wednesday, January 31st, 2024 at the Corner Brook Palliative Care Unit, at the age of 88 years. He will be lovingly remembered by his sons: William, Jerry, and Rodney (Janet); grandchildren: Carolann, Kelly, Renee, Mark, Marty, Glenda, Amanda, Harold Jr. Ashley, Aimee, Kyle, Caitlin, Nicole, and Robin; his great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.

Gerald is predeceased by his wife, the love of his life: Vera Preston; and his two sons: Harold, and Jeffery.

As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, a donation can be made in Gerald's memory to a charity of one's choice.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the doctors, nurses, and staff of the Palliative Care Unit for their exceptional care and support during this difficult time. Also, a special thank you to all of Gerald's friends, Rowena, and the wonderful staff of Mountainview Retirement Home, who gave him such good care over the 10 years he called Mountainview his home.
