It is with great sadness that the family of the late Gerald Samuel Thistle announce his sudden passing at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital on Monday, May 26th, 2025 at the age of 59 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, his companion and good friend of many years: Judy Jones; siblings: Shirley (Eldred) Snooks, and Calvin (May) Thistle; dear cousin: Marion Thistle; and good friend: Ken Jorgensen; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.

Gerald was predeceased by his parents: Harvey Thistle and Bertha Spencer-Thistle; siblings: Ruby Sheppard, Shirley Thistle, Terry Thistle, Keith Thistle, Derek Thistle, and Granville Thistle.

At his request, cremation as taken place. There will be no formal visitation or funeral service at this time. Interment service to be announced at a later date. As expression of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, a donation can be made in Gerald's memory to a charity of one's choice.
