Jean was born in the beautiful fishing village of Lark Harbour, NL to George and Myra Robinson. She was the second daughter of five. She met and married Alexander “Sandy” MacRae in Toronto, as a teenager. Together they raised four sons in Toronto, Fort McMurray, and Newfoundland. They had many fun, and lively years. Jean and Sandy helped many people during this time. They would often host people from their hometown who came looking for work, always willing to help those in need. Sandy and Jean spent their retirement back and forth to Florida. They enjoyed the warmth and the large wonderful extended PEI family there as well. Jean was a vivacious, kind, loving, and direct woman. Her loving and caring nature touched many, many people. Jean will be dearly missed, and forever remembered by all.
Cremation has taken place. There will be a visitation taking place for family and friends at Country Haven Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 27th, 2026 from the hours of 2-4 PM.
