George Leonard Lewis

It is with great sadness that the family of the late George Leonard Lewis announce his passing at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital on Tuesday, June 2nd, 2026 at the age of 70 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, his wife of 31 years: Cavell; children: Gordon (Vanessa), Darlene (Scott), and Mark (Amanda); and a great number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends. Also left to mourn are his siblings: Patrick Lewis (Diana), Bessie McKay (Andrew), Rita Tobin, Robert Lewis (Marilyn), Beatrice Lewis (Peter Oldford), Geraldine Lewis (Clifford Toope), Sherry Lee Lewis; and brother-in-law: Lyndon (Barbara).

George was predeceased by his parents: Dennis and Minnie Lewis; sisters: Darlene, and Loretta; and brothers-in-law: Keith Tizzard, and William “Blackie” Tobin.

In following George’s wishes, cremation has taken place. There will be a visitation taking place at Country Haven Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 10th, 2026 from the hours of 7-9 PM. A celebration of George’s life will take place at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted, or a donation can be made in George’s memory to Canadian Cancer Society.
