George Robert Hickey

It is with great sadness that the family of the late George Robert Hickey announce his untimely passing on Sunday, August 9th, 2026 at the age of 77 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, his two sons: George Hickey Jr. (Marcia), and Patrick Hickey (Michelle); his grandchildren: Georgia, Rae, Mason, Loryn, Bryanna, Patrick Jr., and Jaden; brothers: Andrew Hickey (Joan), Tom Hickey, Frank Hickey (Janet), Raymond Hickey (Von), David Hickey (Brenda), Wayne Hickey (Diane), Gord Hickey (Alfreda), Harve Hickey (Debbie), Vince Hickey (Mary), Derrick Hickey, and Sandy Hickey (Dorraine); and sisters: Daisy Hickey (Ivan), and Patsy Hickey (Russell); as well as a large circle of many, many, nieces, nephews, extended relatives, and friends– who all thought the world of him!

George was predeceased by his parents: Patrick and Theresa Hickey; sisters: Alva Wheeler (Austin), and Eileen Neary (Joe); nephew: Andre Hickey; and sister-in-law: Darlene Hickey.

Cremation has taken place. There will be no formal visitation or funeral service at this time. Interment to take place at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, a donation can be made in George’s memory to a charity of ones choice.
