It is with great sadness that the family of the late George Gideon Hardy announce his peaceful passing on Friday, November 19, 2021, at Corner Brook Long Term Care, at the age of 91 years. George leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, his children: Judy (Eugene), Joan (Clarence), Janice (Lorne), Karen (Bob) and Linda (Bill); Sisters: Myrtle Chaulk, Dianne (Jim) Anderson and Rayleen (Wayne) Sheaves; Sisters-in-law: Mary Mclean and Sandra Hardy; Brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Jim (Gladys); 12 Grandchildren and 17 Great-grandchildren; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

George is predeceased by his parents, John and Mary Ann Hardy; His wife: Kathleen Hardy; Brother: Reginal Hardy; Brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Sydney Chaulk, Ron Sheaves, Ada and Abe Best, Nellie and Bill Brockway, Clarence and Betty Jackson and Glen Mclean; Grandson: Andrew Costello. As per George's wishes, cremation has taken place. A visitation will take place at Country Haven Funeral Home on Tuesday, November 23, 2021, from the hours of 2:00 – 4:00 PM & 7:00 – 9:00 PM; A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 24, 2021, at 11:00 AM from Country Haven Funeral Home Chapel, with Dean Rev. Kay Short officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. There will be no flowers by request. Those wishing to make a memorial donation in George's memory may do so at a charity of one's choice.

George's family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the nurses and staff of Corner Brook Long Term Care as well as Westmount Estates for their kindness and compassion.
