It is with great sadness that the family of the late George Frederick Power announce his passing at Western Long Term Care Center (Palliative) on Thursday, November 18 ^th, 2021 at the age of 77 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife Eileen (Nee Tapp) Power of 54 years. Twin sister Judith Barry. Brothers; Patrick Power (Shirley), James (Junior) Power, Brian Power (Paula). Sisters-in-law Wilhelmina Power and Shelia Power as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. George was predeceased by his children; Todd Power and Baby Anne. Parents Otto and Bridgett Power. Brothers; Edward Power, Gerald Power and Kevin Power. Brother-in-law Monroe Barry. Sister-in-law Meta Power. The family would like to send a big thank you to doctor Lafferty and the staff of Western Memorial Regional Hospital, 3rd floor; as well as the staff at Western Long Term Care, Palliative Unit. Per Georges wishes, cremation has taken place, there will be a visitation to take place at Country Haven Funeral Home on Monday, November 22 ^nd, 2021 from the hours of 7-9 pm with funeral service to take place at Country Haven Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, November 23 ^rd, 2021 at 10:30 am with Father Edward Terry officiating with interment to take place at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, there are no flowers by request. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation and Palliative Care unit (Long Term Care).
