It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Gary Wayne Pieroway on June 7, 2026, at the age of 67. Gary was born and raised in Corner Brook, Newfoundland and Labrador. He will be remembered for his quiet strength, kindness, and deep devotion to his family. Gary’s world revolved around his family, especially his grandchildren, who were his absolute pride and
joy. Known to the grandkids as “Papa,” he was always ready with “treats” whenever the kids were around. These special family moments were at the heart of his happiest memories. Gary never sought the spotlight. Instead, he found his true fulfillment in being a steadfast pillar of support.
Gary is lovingly remembered and deeply missed by his devoted wife, Darlene; cherished daughters, Eileen (Matthew Taylor) and Robyn (Jonathan Bennett); and his four adored grandchildren, Andy, Sadie, Sylvie, and his namesake, Gary. He is also survived by his sisters, Joan Keller (Jerry) and Karen, as well as by his sisters-in-law, Nina, Derrice, Brenda, Darlene, Deborah Gill, and Leigh O'Keefe (Gord). His quiet presence will be dearly missed by a large circle of extended family, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Gary is reunited in peace with his beloved parents, Ed and Eileen; his parents-in-law, Maxwell and Patricia Gill; his sisters, Maureen Gallant (Kevin) and Terrilyn; and his brothers, Eddie, Bob, Ken, and Ray.
There will be a visitation taking place for family and friends at Country Haven Funeral Home on Thursday, June 11, 2026 from the hours of 7-9 PM. There will be a funeral service taking place at 1 PM on Friday, June 12, 2026 in the Country Haven Chapel with Pastor Terry Grimes officiating. Interment to take place at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted, or a donation can be made in Gary’s memory to a charity of one’s choice.
