It is with great sadness that the family of the late Gary Andrew Holloway announce his passing at the Western Long-Term Palliative Care Unit on Wednesday, October 15, 2025 at the age of 67 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, his wife: Penny (nee. Tipple); their children: Scott (Abby), and Sara (Jade); grandchildren: Rowan, and Remi Richards; brothers and sisters: Diane Dicks (Adrian), Judy Earle (Martin), Marilyn Jarvis (Randy), Doreen Holloway (Kevin), and Gail Holloway; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.Gary was predeceased by his parents: Lloyd and Rita Holloway; and brother: Calvin Holloway (Nancy).

From a career in forestry, being the bug man, his partnership with Lloyd at the insectarium, and of course hooks and hackles.   There's also so many cabin trips, outdoor adventures, sledding, hunting, or maybe ya just met him over a glass of rum and a cuffer.   We would like to raise a glass and celebrate his life with you all.  After all, he the man who showed us life is about building a bigger table,  not a taller fence.

We would like to say thank you to all the family and friends that visited, wrote and called.  Not only in the last year, but all though out.  Gary, (and us) really appreciated it.  We would also like to give a big thank you to the medical teams, that has helped us through this most difficult time.  The doctors, nurses, LPNs, cleaners, paramedics, community health, Lawton's and anyone else that we may have overlooked.  There were so many,  we appreciate  you all.

In following his wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of Gary's life will take place at The Bennett Hall on Friday, November 7th, 2025 at 3PM. If you have any stories or words you would like the family to know, there will be a drop-off box to share those.

As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, a donation may be made in Gary's memory to the cuddle bed program at the Palliative Care Unit.
