It is with great sadness that the family of the late Garfield "George" Locke announce his passing at Western Long Term Palliative Care Unit on Monday, October 11 ^th 2021 at the age of 90 years with his family at his side. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are his children; Terry (Ontario), Brian (Linda Smith) Yellow Knife, Keith (Pauline) Corner Brook. Grandchildren Stephanie (John), Christopher (Ashley), Donna (Chris), Valerie (Rob), Samantha (Don) Casaundra (Mario). Best friend Lucy Temple. Great-grandchildren & great-great-grandchildren. Sister Beulah, Brother-in-law Doug (Beverly). Sister's-in-law Josephine and Maisie, Son-in-law Barry, also Lucy's family Deneka (Byron), Wayne (Pam), Hayward (Lisa), Michael. As well as many nieces, nephews and friends. He was predeceased by his wife Daisy 2007. Daughter Brenda 2017. Daughter-in-law Judy. Brother-in-laws Fred (Carrie), Norm, Walter, Jim. Sisters-in-law's May (Frank), Betty (Jean). In keeping with George's wishes, cremation has taken place, visitation will take place at Country Haven Funeral Home 167 Country Road on Wednesday, October 13 ^th , 2021 from the hours 2-4, 7-9 PM from where the funeral will take place Thursday, October 14 ^th 2021 at 2 Pm with Major Frank Johnson officiating, Interment to follow at United Cemetery Town Site Corner Brook. As expressions of sympathy, there are no flowers by request, donations may be made in his memory to Western Long Term Palliative Care.
